Membership Rules and Guidelines
General Membership Policies
- All members, including those utilizing our Open Gym and Personal Training services, are required to have completed an Introductory Assessment or demonstrated the requisite skills needed for participating in any of our group training, coached, or open gym times. This is to maintain the integrity of the club’s High-Performance ethic and to ensure that all members can train safely.
- Memberships and Personal Training Agreements are non-transferable, and exclusive to the individual registered under the membership package.
- Members both agree to pay and understand that they will be automatically debited electronically for the balance due according to their membership package and payment plan. For month-to-month memberships and membership packages/commitments, the member agrees to pay via a credit card that is to be automatically debited. If this is not possible, then, cash/debit payments may be made with the addition of a $5 administrative fee.
- Members who have a 3-session per week plan understand that missed sessions do not “rollover.” Example: If one session (out of a possible three) in a week is not attended, then, it does not carry over into the next week.Non-attendance of gym services does not negate the member’s obligation to pay the agreed upon balance for the service plan they have purchased.
- Membership payments are due on the date indicated in the payment plan. Should the member’s account balance not be paid in full on the billing date, then, the member will have seven (7) days to make the payment in full in order to maintain access to Just Lift Inc.’s services. If payment is not complete by the end of the seventh (7th) day of the grace period, then, access to Just Lift Inc.’s services will be suspended, and the member subject to a $50 re-activation fee.A period of non-payment for longer than seven (7) days will render the member’s account delinquent. Accounts deemed delinquent must be paid in full immediately. A 10% interest rate will be applied to the full balance owing until the debt is collected in full. Any service or legal fees incurred by Just Lift Inc. in pursuance of the account’s balance will also be the responsibility of the member whose account is in delinquency.
Should the member not wish to reinstate their membership they are still responsible for the remainder owed on the account.
- Just Lift Inc. has a no solicitation policy. Should a member wish to discuss a potential product/service offering or promotional opportunity they may do so first with Just Lift Inc. staff.
- Just Lift Inc. and its staff may record photos/videos of members during training or events. Just Lift Inc. may or may not publish them on its website or any other media source it maintains. Members agree that their likeness is approved to be used by Just Lift Inc. for any purpose with no compensation being awarded to the member whose likeness is published.
- Just Lift Inc. reserves the right to terminate a membership agreement, at any time, under its discretion. In such cases the member will be refunded the remaining credit of their membership plan, calculated from the date of membership revocation onward.

Code of Conduct
JustLift’s coaching team has worked hard to provide its members, both athletes and recreational, access to a High-Performance training environment conducive to the achievement of exceptional training outcomes. To do so we require that the following maxims be observed.
Community – We believe a High-Performance training methodology is the basis of producing exceptional results. We also believe that High-Performance outcomes can only be produced in a supportive, focused environment. Our members’ results are achieved because we have a focused community where success is both the norm and expectation. What does this mean?
- Having a friendly attitude and interactions with fellow members and staff.
- Making the effort to push yourself in training.
- Avoiding overt displays of negativity in the gym.
- Being welcoming to newer and/or less experienced members.
- Being coachable by listening to and earnestly applying the coaching advice you receive in training.
Respect – Respect for oneself, one’s club, one’s coaches, and one’s community are expected.
- Being rude to members/staff, bullying, intimidation, sexual harassment, and/or any other behavior deemed abusive will not be tolerated. JustLift is meant to be a supportive, inclusive environment where anyone can achieve their goals.
- Treat the equipment as if it were your own. Wear and tear over the lifecycle of the equipment is expected. Abuse and/or misuse of equipment that results in damage to the equipment and/or the gym space is not. Damages to the equipment or facility will be assessed, and the cost passed onto the offending member.
- Treat the space as if it were your own. Clean up after yourself, put away all used equipment, and if necessary, sanitize any equipment that has blood or sweat on it. All gym equipment should be replaced in its place the way it was originally found.
Conduct – Becoming a lifter brings with it its own set of rules and expectations. We ask members to observe the following rules:
- Do not:
- Drop Empty Bars.
Drop bars loaded with only change plates. - Drop bars loaded with plastic technique plates less than 5kg.
Drop dumbbells or kettlebells from above the waist. - Add more than 4kg of change plates a side to a bar loaded with 10kg bumpers. Weight changes should primarily be made with bumper plates.
- Drop Empty Bars.
- Always:
- Put collars on a loaded bar.
Sanitize equipment (such as mats or benches) if you’ve left bodily fluids behind. - Wipe excess chalk from your bar with one of the provided brushes before returning it to its rack.
- Put collars on a loaded bar.
- Avoid walking, standing in-front of, or otherwise distracting a member preparing for a challenging lift. This rule has nuance, and our staff as well as fellow veteran members can clarify it should you be unsure.
- Refrain from expressing excessive negativity. Workouts (and life!) don’t always go to plan. Bad attitudes are contagious!
